Why MobilityCentral Now?

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

For one, as people start to abandon their desktops and laptops in favor of smart phones, and IT struggles to maintain control, companies will need to find ways to manage these devices.  MobilityCentral is positioned to do just this because of our unique people-centric view of a company’s workforce.  One employee can have a data card, a mobile phone, and a BlackBerry, all on different networks, with nothing in common except the person using the devices.  All roads lead to the user – the only common feature of these different items.  The best way to manage these devices is to look at the landscape from the point of view of the user – hence our people-centric view.  We don’t require specific equipment or a specific network to manage your mobile enterprise users.

Secondly, MobilityCentral has been built from the ground up with integration in mind. We’re at the beginning stages of how we will leverage all the information that is available on the internet.  We are working to identify how these recent developments in technology fit into our overall strategy.  But, because we place so much emphasis on the person rather than just the device, we have some unique options available to us and it’s exciting to think about how it might all unfold.
