FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Visage Mobile Launches MobilityCentral for Enterprise

LAS VEGAS, April 1, 2008 Visage Mobile, based in San Francisco, today announced the general availability of MobilityCentral, an on-demand software solution for enterprises seeking a better way to manage mobile devices and services used by their employees.

Like laptops or personal computers, mobile phones have become mission-critical business tools for a growing base of mobile workers. Unlike personal computers, enterprise-issued mobile phones have lacked a suite of management tools to effectively track, allocate and control these devices and related services until now. With MobilityCentral, IT and finance departments get the visibility and control needed to deploy and manage their portfolio of devices and services from multiple carriers and providers.

MobilityCentral integrates point solutions from multiple carriers and device manufacturers while eliminating the need for spreadsheet management of this increasingly complex and ever-changing environment. MobilityCentral includes:

  • Inventory Tracking & Allocation – identify and track all mobile devices and services for every employee with multiple action-oriented views into mobile inventory.
  • Mobile Spend Management – electronic processing of monthly carrier invoices, employee-level bill presentment, reconciliation of carrier services and allocations, identification of saving opportunities, trend analytics and flexible reporting tools.
  • Mobile Policy & Compliance – define, publish and monitor compliance of mobile policies for every employee including online acknowledgement and exception processing.
  • Mobility Groups and Profiles – configurable mobility groups establish employee mobile privileges and budgets based on job-related mobility needs. Mobility profiles automatically capture employee allocations of devices, services, monthly usage and spend, policy acceptance and more.

MobilityCentral employs intuitive, role-based dashboards that give company decision-makers a 360-degree view of mobile phone use across multiple carriers. Unlike conventional point solutions from individual carriers and device makers, MobilityCentral provides a company with a complete picture of their mobile communications.

"Enterprises today are struggling with managing a plethora of devices that exist within their working population," said Carrie MacGillivray, an analyst with IDC. "This includes both mobile phones and converged mobile devices across multiple vendors such as Microsoft, RIM and Nokia. These enterprises are looking for a single source to contain, manage and support the full inventory of devices, not a vendor-specific subset."

Early Adopters See Immediate Benefits
Early adopters of MobilityCentral have immediately benefited from the solution. Through greater visibility and control, IT and finance can expect to:

  • Reduce overspend and waste on mobile devices and monthly usage charges
  • Reduce liability and exposure through improved inventory tracking and device management
  • Reduce cost of end-user support while improving their overall experience
  • Increase end-user awareness and compliance with corporate mobility policies
  • Streamline time-consuming internal and vendor-oriented business processes

One of MobilityCentral’s most appreciated features is the ability for mobility managers to monitor key metrics through a centralized dashboard and selectively engage end-users in the management of mobility. This includes publishing mobility policy for awareness and compliance, monthly mobility statements that include budget vs. actual usage or spend, easy validation of mobility devices/services, and workflow enablement of business processes.

"With MobilityCentral from Visage Mobile, management of mobile devices, service plans, entitlements, and expenses can now be automated and process-driven," said Deshen Yu, vice president of Information Technology, Chordiant Software. “However, what's more important are the business values of real-time visibility, predictable cost projection, and long-term expense saving for enterprise mobility made possible by their technology platform and managed services.”

Easy to Buy, Easy to Implement, Easy to Use
MobilityCentral is a completely hosted solution that requires no enterprise software license or implementation, making it a clear alternative to difficult-to-maintain homegrown solutions or outsourced solutions that only focus on wireless expense management. Users of MobilityCentral pay a monthly subscription service based on the number of mobile workers under management. The solution integrates with the major carriers and provides electronic invoice processing on behalf of its customers. MobilityCentral is available for small, medium and large enterprises.

"In addition to delivering a broad suite of mobility management functionality in this first release of MobilityCentral, we have invested heavily in making the solution easy to buy, easy to implement and easy to use," said Dean Alms, general manager for Visage Mobile's enterprise mobility business. "With a low monthly subscription fee, zero enterprise hardware/software requirements, and ROI analysis tools we have made the buying decision very easy. Implementation is fast and easy because of our hosted solution that is quick to configure and has been pre-integrated with the major carriers and standards-based corporate directories, such as Microsoft Active Directory."
