Integration Factory

The Visage Enterprise MobilityCentral Environment is comprised of two distinct systems:

MobilityCentral

This is the core application which includes the User Interface, Application/Business Logic and Relational database.

MobilityCentral Integration Factory

This is the interface for our partners who support device management, user data and other features and functionality which enhance the core application. The MobilityCentral Integration server supports MobilityCentral with partner data synchronization and events.

MobilityCentral integration architecture decouples the core MobilityCentral application from partner integration, creating a simple set of functional services on the core application while isolating partner integration calls to and from the integration server.

Integration Factory

Customer Network

Customer networks include their enterprise environment comprised of Active Directories, LDAPs, Device Management systems, and Help Desk systems.

Partner Network

Partner networks include wireless carriers, procurement vendors and other hosted solutions.

By utilizing the full functionality of ALSB, MobilityCentral integration provides a robust, highly configurable integration layer to support both data integration and partner services.

Integration is functionality comprised of both data integration and partner services.

Data Integration

MobilityCentral is capable of maintaining data synchronization between the MobilityCentral application and customer applications and data stores. An example of this type of integration would be the synchronization of user data between MobilityCentral and an HR application. Foreseeable synchronization/integration would include, but not limited to:

  • Users
  • Devices
  • Plans
  • Bill Records
  • Budgets
  • Policies

Partner Service

Partner Service events can be passed through MobilityCentral, essentially providing functionality of the partner application through the MobilityCentral application. Enhanced device management with remote application detection and deployment would fall into the Partner Services category. Other services rendered through the MobilityCentral core application would include, but not be limited to:

  • Security
  • Procurement
  • Application Deployment
  • Mobile Device Locate
  • Call Center Management
  • Device Detection
  • Equipment Management and Security

By separating OLTP and batch processes in the integration layer, process and processing can be prioritized and managed for performance and scalability.

The integration factory is built using the following technology stack.

Technology Stack

The Visage Mobile integration layer technology stack is designed for high performance, mission critical, integration processing. A mix of best of breed commercial application and open source applications are used to deliver reliable solutions. This decoupled architecture provides application and system flexibility, scalability, security and efficiencies. Separation of application and system functions enable this environment to be easier to maintain and troubleshoot in the production environment.
